Paris Hilton & Boarding School Syndrome

Paris Hilton  - Boarding School Syndrome - Analysis Of Paris Hilton's Trauma at Boarding School

A few weeks ago it was recommended that I watch Paris Hilton's new Documentary called The Real Story of Paris Hilton. You can watch the full film here.

What does this have to do with boarding school syndrome?

Why was I recommended to watch a documentary with Paris Hilton in it?

To be honest I had heard of Paris and yet I didn't know anything else about her... just her name.

The reason I was asked to watch this film is because for the past 6 years I have been posting videos on Youtube about Boarding School Syndrome and Boarding School Survivors.

One of my subscribers mentioned that they had been to an Emotional Growth Boarding School and that Paris Hilton had also attended one of these schools called Provo Canyon School.

I had never heard of an Emotional Growth Boarding School.

Having worked in this area working 1-1 with clients for a number of years I questioned how Emotional Growth and Boarding School could be in the same sentence.

So I watched the film and the below video is my response. I am really impressed that Paris Hilton has spoken up. I love her bravery.

In this video I talk about the classic boarding school syndrome traits and link them into the film and to Paris herself. I reference this article in my video about Boarding School Syndrome Symptoms & Traits: https://www.piers-cross.com/boarding-school-syndrome

And the Mind article about C-PTSD  https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/post-traumatic-stress-disorder-ptsd/complex-ptsd/

It is fascinating to see that even someone as famous and well-known as Paris Hilton has been affected by Boarding School. And in her words, it was not a pleasant experience and that she still has nightmares to this day.
