For those who have been drawn to my work through boarding school syndrome then this is another podcast that  I recommend a listen to

As I have shared before often at boarding school we were not taught what it was to be a man or woman. We were guided by other children so we became children in adult's bodies.

In the following podcast Laurence talks about mature masculinity and the work of the Mankind Project

Some of the questions I ask him:

  1. I'd love you to speak about some of your own fascinating journey. What drew you into men's work?
  2. You work as the Development and Outreach Director at the MKP. Could you share more about the MKP's mission, what it does
  3. I'd love you to speak about masculinity and both toxic masculinity and benevolent masculinity
  4. I am fascinated by the power of community. You mention on your website that “the only real currency left, is community”. Can you speak more on this please?
  5. In the work that you are doing with the Mankind project what is the current state of men's mental health? What have you found has really helped men with their mental health?
  6. Could you speak about the power and importance of positive initiation please? Why is it so important and what happens to men when we don't have it in our lives?
  7. I would love to honour Robert Bly who passed away 10 days ago. Are there any bits of wisdom from Robert that you could share? Any stories? Anything that you have learned?
  8. How do people get in touch with you and learn more about the ManKind Project?

An Evolving Man (AEM) Podcast is for men (and women) who want to grow, evolve and want support in learning how to do this.

On a regular basis there will be an interview around men's (and women's) topics ranging from self-development, relationships, spirituality, archetypes, trauma, boarding school and men's work featuring authors and leaders in this field.

The sense with these interviews is to support people during these times of change. What are the teachings, tools and practices that you can use to help you through these turbulent times?
